Idemitsu was founded in Japan in 1911 by Sazo Idemitsu. With perseverance and a set of core values he grew the company into a global oil and gas corporation. Idemitsu now embarks on the journey to transform into a sustainable international energy provider committed to a carbon-neutral future. Sazo Idemitsu’s values are still honoured and embedded in the Idemitsu culture today.

Idemitsu Innovation Europe AG was established in Basel in 2017. We are a hub for sustainable energy transformation and technological advancement in Idemitsu. We are looking for startups and technologies to invest in or collaborate with. Our value proposition is to:
